Graz people want to know for certain what they eat. And Styrian farmers set great store by good quality. The two things go together well – for instance, at the farmers' market in Kaiser-Josef-Platz in Graz.

Before six in the morning, farmers from different Styrian regions take their home-made produce to town and offer fruit and vegetable, seedlings and flowers, pumpkin-seed oil and bread, and and and... to the discerning "townies". A spectacle, a sensory experience of a very special kind.
