Palais Attems

 

 

With its princely red and imposing dimensions, Palais Attems dominates Sackstraße. Start of construction work: 1702. Owner and probably (co-)designer: Ignaz Maria Graf Attems. The family – owning the house up to the year 1962 – hardly made any structural alterations.

So, with Palais Attems, Graz features an important Baroque town palais in which also the original wall tapestry and stucco ceilings have been preserved intact.
